Reiki is permission to receive. You do not have to explain your week, solve it, or earn rest. The session holds a simple invitation: let the body settle, then notice what is still true.
Why receiving can feel harder than doing
Many of us were trained to be useful. Lying still can feel exposed. Reiki does not ask you to produce insight. It asks you to allow contact — with warmth, quiet, and the parts of you that rarely get the floor.
What receiving can look like
- Tears without a story attached.
- Deep sleep for ten minutes, then a clearer mind.
- A boundary you can finally name on the drive home.
Aftercare
- Drink water and keep the evening simple.
- Note one sensation that changed, even slightly.
- Wait a day before deciding what the session “meant.”
You do not have to earn rest. You only have to arrive.
If you are ready to practice receiving in a held hour, explore Reiki.
